Foundations of Acute Circulatory Emergency Management

Welcome to the third in a series of EMET courses developed by the doctors at Calvary Hospital in Canberra.  Following on from FAME and FORM, on this course we aim to concentrate on the circulation.  We will cover Advanced Life Support, Atrial Fibrillation, Sepsis, Invasive lines  and  Defibrillation.

Defibrillator Masterclass

Automatic External Defibrillator

If you are required to perform BLS in the community you may need to use an AED.  Be an expert!

Manual Defibrillator

In the Acute Care setting a manual defibrillator allows the delivery of more efficient advanced life support.

Synchronised DC Cardioversion

This is a procedure that is performed often in the acute care setting.  Understand the process.

External Cardiac Pacing

This technique may be required with a shocked bradycardic patient who is resistant to medical therapy.
