FLUSH RATE


This is the term used to describe delivering as much oxygen as possible from one port.  


Instead of dialing the rate of delivery up to 15 litres per minutes (what appear to be the maximum rate), turn the valve as far as it will go!


Flush rate should be used when performing apnoeic oxygenation.
