From the Australian Resuscitation Council, the Advanced Life Support 2 days course (ALS2) is the definitive course for medical professionals who are required to treat critically ill patients.
Candidate are expected to know basic life support and will be taught the additional elements that culminate in advanced life supports.
Throughout the 2 days candidates will receive lectures and take part in tutorials that teach them essential critical care skills. The greatest experience of the course is taking part in critical care simulations as both a team member and team leader.
By the end of day two each candidate will be confident that she or he can confidently treat critically ill patients with a wide range of pathologies.
At Verdigris Medical Education we understand the requirement for continuing medical education and appreciate that our candidates will come from a wide background and many with years of experience. It is our policy to provide a faculty made up of only the most senior instructors (emergency medicine consultants, senior nursing staff and senior paramedics) who continue to treat critically ill patients on a daily basis.
Not only can we ensure that our teaching is up to date and of the highest quality, we can pass on clinical pearls only acquired from continually treating real patients!
