Critical Care Procedures Workshop

This workshop has been developed by Verdigris Medical Education and will be delivered by experienced FACEMs and Emergency Nursing Staff.

In a relaxed and collaborative environment participants will perform 16 practical procedures over 5hrs.

• Adult basic life support
• Paediatric Basic Life support
• Defibrillation
• Transcutaneous Pacing
• Interosseous insertion
• Bag valve mask ventilation
• Insertion of oropharyngeal airway
• Insertion of Nasopharyngeal airway
• LMA/ Supraglottic airway
• Direct Laryngoscopy
• Video Laryngoscopy
• Surgical Airway
• Needle Decompression of Pneumothorax
• Finger Decompressive Thoracosotomy
• Seldinger chest drain
• Large bore chest drain
•   Central venous  access
•   Arterial  line

1.5  hrs of 5.5 hrs of reviewing performance CPD will be awarded in addition to completion of the Airway/Breathing/Circulation and Scope of Practice procedural skills CPD requirement.
