Critical Care Procedures Workshop @ the ACEM ASM in the ACT

On  the  19th  November  we  will  be   providing   a  Critical  Care  Procedures  Workshop  at  the  ACEM  Annual  Scientific  Meeting  2023  in  Canberra.

This workshop has been developed by Verdigris Medical Education and will be delivered by experienced FACEMs and Emergency Nursing Staff.

In a relaxed and collaborative environment participants will perform 16 practical procedures over 3.5 hrs.

•  Adult basic life support
•  Paediatric Basic Life support
•  Defibrillation
•  Transcutaneous Pacing
•  Interosseous insertion
•  Bag valve mask ventilation
•  Insertion of oropharyngeal airway
•  Insertion of Nasopharyngeal airway
•  LMAs
•  Direct Laryngoscopy
•  Video Laryngoscopy
•  Surgical Airway
•  Needle Decompression of Pneumothorax
•  Finger Decompressive Thoracosotomy
•  Seldinger chest drain
•  Large bore chest drain

Each participant will be offered a link to optional pre-course videos and a short formative assessment prior to attending the course. 

5hrs of reviewing performance CPD will be awarded in addition to completion of the Airway/Breathing/Circulation and Scope of Practice procedural skills CPD requirement.
